Barracks Cafe at House @ Dempsey
We gave JY a belated bdae treat at Dempsey last night. First time checking out House. Rather interesting concept, they have a spa, cafe & bar within House. The cafe's quite nice and cosy. However i find it over-rated. The mains' just average. We had the lobster linguine, their infamouse Red Snapper and i had Cod Fish! Didnt have enuff at Tetsu the other time! Told junne ill try to whip up a Cod Fish dish, but havent done so! We're gonna try White Rabbit next time! And becos Dinner wasnt very satisfying, we hopped over to Ben & Jerry's for ice-cream ;)
Marutama Ramen @ Central
This ramen place is worth queuing! Was there last wk with the happy 3 fwens and gwenne the first time. And just few days ago, was there again! This time with ben(tang) & frens. Really liked the ramen there. They also have tis additional toppin of Tamago. Its actually kind of like a stewed egg, we call it "half boiled egg, within a hard boiled egg" LOL. Needs precise timing & training to cook an egg like this. As usual aft dinner, needed to find some place to chill. Went to TCC ! aha! They had this promotional thingy going on for their PeachTaccio cake. Its called the Golden Hunt. If you manage to find a Golden truffle in the cake, you get yr bills totally waived off. And guess wad! We embarrased ourselves as we thought we found the Golden TRUFFLE!! Asked for the waiter to verify. LOL. Its so not the Golden Truffle. But we had a fun time!
Went to check out the Bungy Ride after that at Clarke Quay! Exciting lah! But it costs aa bomb for that 50-sec-only excitment. $45! Crazy. May try it out. Hope i dont get heart-attack.
Next wkend, we're gonna celebrate Ben's and Tiff's bdae! I am still wondering wad i shld wear for ben's par-tay! Wacky colour theme @ Oomphatico! (Tanglin Mall)!Yippee now going to the range for Golf ! Havent played for quite long. Hope i stilll guddd Muahaha This time playing wif a new golf bud!
My dad commented that i cant pronounce the word "WHY". Answered a phone call with him around the other day and he said i pronounced it really bad, like "waiiii". Ya I know it should be "WHHHH...Y." Just dont feel the need to ARTICULATE every single word when i speak to people im close with.

I tink im facing a "quarter life crisis!". Im getting bored of all the things i do. How ah??
Last couple of days im super irritatable & grouchy lor. I developed ASB & AP! I dont even want to reply sms or ans calls. LOL. Damn extreme. I was also quite irritated when my frens wanted to go to OOSH after dinner, becos i wanted to go home to sleep! Muahahaha.
And yesterday, worse! Just very angry lor over many small things. I am usually quite patient one leh (especially to dum dum pple). And so i bought many chocs to pamper myself! Sigh sigh sigh! Its only times like this when i feel its good to hav a bf, someone to whine at and pamper me~ then again, i always haf bfs that piss me off, so i rather not. Suay man!
Sianz! Anyway, I am thinking if i should i get a golf set. Iris's one is so nice. I oso jus reserved iphone. I really dont bother about the condition of my hp now. It had dropped a gazillion times until the sides of the phone also "cui". The volume button also not working anymore haha.. im horrible i noe.. Been wanting to get one, but dont see anything i like.. bahhh.. sianz!

The Singles' view- Happiness
The Singles in the group have expressed their happiness of staying Single. Being financially independant & having no need to contribute to d family (as compared to married) has given them the options of the finer things in life. They enjoy their freedom of going to the gym, dine well, travelling to see d world without havin to worry for the spouse and children. Growing older also means they will not settle for less. As long as you have loads of frens to stand by you and bring you thr' the lonely times, you will have no probs.
The Married Ones - Bliss or Regrets?
I kid you not. Being Married and having children can be a real nightmare if you are not ready.Whilst some remain very positive on the notion of a perfect marriage & family, some expressed unhappiness.And unhappiness usually comes with reasons like "if i had known this comes wif so much responsibility" "if i had married later" "if i had no children" "if i had married someone else" etc. They lose out a portion of their time to taking care of d family, hence which means lesser time to pamper themselves, cultivate an interest or simply jus do the things you love.
Conclusion- Choices in life
1) Do not get pressurized to get hitched for the wrong reasons such as "too tired of dating jerks/bitches", "societal pressure", "getting older so must settle down" "all my frens are getting married!" "my parents stressing me to get married" etc.
2) In the later years, as compared to those happily married ones, you may die a lonely death becos you have no children!
3) Since life is short, do you want to be self-centred, max out yr life and enjoy all you can? Or would you risk settling down with a partner that might possibly be the One who would go thr' thick & thin with you and love you, or might jus turn out to be someone who may possibly screw up ur whole life?
Being pragmatic people here, it does seem like there's a whole lot more benefits to staying Single, at least, less risk.
Dont get me wrong. I still strongly believe in Marriage & Love. Jus that it takes a whole lot more than jus feelings of Love to make a marriage last. It takes effort, patience and commitment to see through a lifetime. And its true, there are certain things that frens jus cant give. A simple hug/kiss or compliment from your spouse (or loved ones) may jus make your day.
If only love & marriage was simple & pure like this ( in blibical terms):
"...Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. KTV-ed with Junne, Wendy, Peijie & Jason at downtown east Kbox! We were singing oldies like "wang jie" that nite cus we realised we dont know all the new songs! haha.. so outdate already..
Watched "The Mummy" on fri night. I sat on a bike that day!! I swear its scary, and it felt like my helmet's flying off! Junne joined us for movie and together with iris & derick we supper-ed at Arab st till 2am. We were talking about.. well ..problemetic guys.. Sleepy sleepy~.
Got a morning call from pearlynn at 7plus am becos we had to go to the new Hort Park! WhEE! We met d rest at the sentosa hawker centre for brekkie then we headed off to mount faber! Its so rare that i wake up so early on Sats. haha. And so we walked, climbed stairs, chat, laugh, toook pics from mount faber, to henderson waves, to hilltop walk & finally, arrived at our destination the new Hort Park at Alexander! Honestly by then, we were so tired we didnt really see much of the Hort Park! We walked a total of 4-5km, in abt 1.5 hrs. Not to mention we did had a number of pit stops along the way. For lunch, we went to Vivo for Earle's Swensens. Didnt noe they have the salad bar too, like Sizzlers.
Later on, some of us went to chill at gavin's place, The Icon (where expats & richies live!) I was introduced to Guitar Heroes and im HOOKED! So addictive the game! I wanna play somemore!
That day was really tiring and i went to bed very early at 10pm, all aching from the walk.
Sunday! Went for dinner at Wild Rockets. The food wasnt really very good, but we all had fun gossiping! haha.. Then we went next door, to Wild Oats for drinks.. Very nice & quiet place to chill out. The guys wanted to drink tow huey after that so went to Selegie. Lol we ate alot lor. Then went to Mustafa to check it out since its ben (tang)'s and ryan's first visit there... hehe... and they kept going on about " d smell" .. aiyoh.. haaha wayne, who was familiar with the place brought us around...hehe
